Resilient
floor tile has been specified for commercial interiors for decades. Yet, these
products have not made it into Main Street commercial applications on a regular
basis.
Waterproofing is easily understood; something either leaks
or it doesn’t. But vapor proof, what does that have to do with waterproofing?
After all if something is waterproof it is waterproof, right?
Knowing the job requires more than measuring out the area,
finding the best access point for mobilization and scratching out your bid. It
means defining two sets of variables--the physical conditions at the site and
the customer’s expectations.
Commercial resilient presents several challenges to the
residential dealer and their installers and one of those challenges is in the
area of substrate preparation. Because the jobs are larger, the time schedule
is often rushed. With a lot more money on the line, there is more pressure on
the installer. Proper training and proper planning can go a long way towards
preventing mistakes.
Warm feet make the whole body feel good. Floor warming in the home is
becoming increasingly popular as more and more people come to this realization.

There are many options for
removal of curing compounds. None are simple or cheap, hence the reason it

In some
climates, there are growing reports of mold and mildew
growth on the interior walls of new homes due to trapped moisture. Not only can
this lead to indoor air quality problems, it can also lead to floor quality
problems. With no moisture migrating through the walls, the only place left for
moisture to migrate is through the floors and ceilings.
To ensure proper care for stone installations and preserve the natural
beauty, it is important to understand how stone is created. Different
types of stone have unique, complex mineral compositions that determine
density, porosity, hardness and absorption rates.
The best
way to control dust inhalation is through properly designed and maintained dust
containment or extraction systems. There are trailer- and truck-mounted systems, the latest advancements in
dust containment technology, which provide complete evacuation of dust from the
entire floor sanding process.
In the last several years the number of calls we receive in relation to grout
problems is significantly diminishing. I believe this is because the grouts we
use today are simply higher performance products than the ones we have worked
with in the past.
Carpet makers are on a mission: they want to save the world. Minimizing their
environmental footprint has become the new benchmark of forward-thinking
corporate leadership in virtually every area of the flooring business.

install, there are two ways to approach covering a floor warming system with
ceramic tile.
