The city of Shanghai is gearing up for one of the largest home textile trade shows in Asia this month. The Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles event, set for Aug. 26-28, will bring more than 900 companies from Asia and around the world to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre to showcase their latest products and designs. Exhibitors are set to include Blue Ridge, Cotton Council and Woolmark.
The show will also include a range of specialized pavilions in more than 100,000 square meters of space. Regional pavilions are planned for Pakistan and Portugal. Additionally, pavilions will debut for Taiwan and Turkey this year. Show organizers note that specialized areas will be set up for product segments including bedding, towelling, curtains and upholstery.
More than 30 designers are planning to return to the show in a special Designer's Studio section. They will include: Alvisi & Alvisi, Diane Harrison, Korea Textile Centre, Textile Design Association of Japan, Tom Lewis and a range of designers from France, Italy, Japan and the United States.
